We had a County Exec meeting this week so I’ve been busy busy busy getting ready… lots of reports and stats to prepare.  It was a great meeting and lovely to see Sandra Turner from Shaw District, there to represent Michelle Wood for the Guiding Development Team.  They have loads of great events in the pipeline so keep an eye on Facebook for details.

Youth Voice also met on Wednesday and they have put together their proposals for the Senior Section Centenary offer for the County.  Events will be open to the Senior Section (14-25 years), older Guides (aged 13+) and their leaders (any age!!).  Pop along to St Andrew’s Church Hall, Entwistle Road, Rochdale on Friday 3 July at 7pm to see their presentations, ask lots of questions and tuck in to the free BBQ.

We’ve finally got dates to offer the new A Safe Space training.  Sorry it’s taken so long to sort, but I am sure you will appreciate that it takes time to train our Trainers, book venues and prepare the training materials.  Leaders in Training are invited to sessions on Wednesday 8th July or Saturday 5 September.  Email Fiona Wilson – bookings@girlguidinglancsse.org.uk for more information.

Have to share something funny with you too… our Brownies had a Dads n Daughters Walk last night.  They had to spot or collect items starting with the letters of BROWNIE TREFOIL.  One of the answers for “O” was “Omnivore” – no problem with that, I hear you say, except that it was followed in brackets with “horse”!!  So, if you’re out and about this week you need to watch you don’t get eaten by a horse!!!
