I was first bitten by the guiding bug when I was 11 years and joined a Guide Unit in Oldham.  I gained my Queen’s Guide Award and then became a Guide Leader at the same unit where (although I got married and lived in Bury) I stayed at that same unit for many years.  I eventually decided to re-open a Guide Unit in Bury in 2006 and am thrilled to say my two daughters now run a Rainbow unit.  3 years ago I became District Commissioner for Elton & Redvales.

I work part-time for the NHS in Bolton, have been married to Chris for 28 years and we have a cat called Mitzy. My hobbies (apart from Guiding!) include reading mystery books, cooking, I have a miniature dolls house collection and I love going away in our caravan.
